Charlie's Garden

Shortly after I married Charlie, I realized that he must have descended from a long line of farmers.  He always had his hands in soil.    And he could produce the most amazing plants, fruit, vegetables, trees, pastures... anything that came from the earth.  Our table was plentiful and rich.  He fed the family in so many ways.

One of his memorable achievements was when he became a Master Gardener.  Many farmers markets were on our path: both buying and selling produce.  His compost was treasured, and no scrap of food was discarded ... it went into the compost bin and was returned to the earth.

Daughter Kimberly began a small business of growing starter plants and selling them.  Charles helped germinate seeds (1000's of seeds) for her roadside cart (named Redford).    The following are some the wonderful things he raised!
