* Two days after presenting this model, the first presence of WNV was identified in SE Arizona, exactly where we predicted that high levels would occur.

 

We first provide a reference map of Arizona, providing 3 major cities for spatial reference.  Steps in developing the GIS model follow:
 The first step was to identify a GIS data layer of all irrigated lands in Arizona
 Step #2 was to add all major riparian habitats in the state.
